Acceptable Use Policy

1) Who we are

Naija.Events is a marketplace for event vendors, venues, and event websites. We connect buyers to third-party vendors. Vendors are the sellers of record. Naija.Events provides the platform, payment tools, and dispute mediation.

2) Who can use Naija.Events

  • You must be 18 or older.

  • You must use your real name, correct contact details, and a valid email.

  • Vendors must complete KYC and pass our checks. Only Verified vendors can sell on the main site and have a public Store page.

3) What vendors must do

  • List only items and services you can deliver.

  • Give accurate titles, photos, prices, timelines, and terms.

  • Process all orders through Naija.Events checkout. No off-platform payments.

  • Deliver on time and keep clear records (receipts, delivery proof, photos).

  • Use customer data only to fulfill the order. Do not share or sell it.

  • Follow Nigerian law, Paystack rules, and this policy.

4) Prohibited items and activities

Do not list, sell, promote, or use the platform for:

  • Illegal products or services.

  • Drugs, narcotics, or drug paraphernalia.

  • Weapons, explosives, or ammunition.

  • Hazardous chemicals.

  • Stolen goods or anything that encourages theft.

  • Counterfeit goods or items that infringe trademarks, copyrights, or patents.

  • Adult sexual content, escort services, or pornography.

  • Hate, harassment, or extremist content.

  • Human trafficking or exploitation.

  • Wildlife products banned by law (for example ivory).

  • Medical drugs, controlled substances, or medical devices that need a license.

  • Gambling, betting, or lotteries without approval by law.

  • Pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes.

  • Unlicensed financial services or virtual currencies.

  • Any activity that violates Paystack’s terms or card network rules.

  • Attempts to bypass fees, chargebacks, or KYC.

  • Misuse of reviews (fake reviews, incentives for positive reviews).

5) Restricted or higher-risk categories

These may need written approval, extra documents, or limits:

  • Alcohol or tobacco.

  • Food and beverages for resale or large-scale distribution.

  • Health or beauty products with strong claims.

  • Ticketing for very large events or high-risk venues.

  • Charitable fundraising.

6) Content standards

  • Use only photos and text you have rights to use.

  • No misleading claims.

  • No spam or scraping.

  • Respect others’ IP. We act on valid takedown requests.

7) Fulfillment and Aso-Ebi distribution

  • Vendors handle fulfillment and after-sales support unless stated otherwise.

  • For Aso-Ebi distribution in Lagos, Naija.Events may provide pickup and delivery support. We record handover with photos and signed logs. This service is limited and does not change that the vendor is the seller.

8) Reviews and ratings

  • Buyers should give honest reviews.

  • Vendors must not post reviews for themselves or ask others to post fake reviews.

9) Sanctions and enforcement

We may remove listings, hold payouts, restrict features, suspend, or close accounts if you break this policy, the law, or Paystack rules.

10) Reporting

Report violations to: [support email]. Include order number, URLs, and screenshots if possible.

11) Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version will be on our website.
